We're proposing to install a temporary meteorological mast (met mast) on private property within the Mt Challenger Wind Farm project area to support our wind monitoring activities.

This slim, steel structure—up to 160 metres tall—will collect wind and weather data and support environmental studies for up to five years. This data will help us determine whether the project is viable or not and is a vital step as we work towards commencing further technical studies.

Whitsunday Regional Council’s consideration of the associated met mast development application (DA) does not provide or imply approval of the proposed Mt Challenger Wind Farm but it does mark an important forward step for our thorough assessment process.
