PROJECT OVERVIEW
Mount Challenger Wind Farm is a renewable energy hub proposed between the towns of Bowen and Proserpine in Central Queensland.
Consisting of 120-190 megawatts (MW) of wind generation capacity and 30-50 MW battery energy storage (BESS) on-site, we propose to connect this project to the existing electricity transmission network and supply clean energy to the National Electricity Market.
We’ve identified this location for its wind resource and proximity to existing transmission infrastructure. The project would attract significant investment into the local area and generate enough electricity to power up to 90,000 Queensland homes each year.
